What video editing software (preferably free) can do a transparent background (green-screen) effect?
Does anyone know of some good, free, video editing software that can take a video and replace, say, all green with transparency? I want to do a green-screen film, where I film in front of a colored screen, and then substitute in the scene background during the editing process.

Green or blue shades are commonly used as they do not match with the human skin tone and the image sensors in the camera are sensitive to these two shades. After photographing the subject you can collect the footage for the background screen. You can then digitally replace the background with an editing tool. A person can also add transitions and other visual effects in the images or video digitally. You can make the subject invisible, dwarf the subject or even make the subject climb a tall chamber or hill. This technique is commonly used in the television stations, documentaries, films, promotional videos and much more.

Anyone know of any free software that I can use just to remove the blue/green screen, that’s all I want to do, I don’t care about effects or anything just tell me how to get rid of the stupid green screen please.
If there is anyway to get rid of it without a different program just please tell me how to get rid of the screen so I can us ethe video with another program.
